UNESCO Chair on Integrated Management of Heritage, Water and Climate Change
HEWACC aims to promote integrated management of heritage, water, and climate change with a holistic three pillar approach (H3PA), as it mentioned in 39 C/46 a cross-sectoral approach, in terms of their interrelationships, interactions and needs, while viewing these relations through the lens of disaster risk reduction and resilience (DRR&R). It argues that the multi-disciplinary integrated management of those is necessary to achieve SDGs.
HEWACC, to minimize trade-offs and maximize synergies, aims to develop H3PA for education and research implementation, capacity building, consultancy and knowledge dissemination in these fields.
